Ghost Hunt at The Haunted Savoy Theatre – Monmouth
Friday 5th June 2026 9:30pm – 3:30am
£30 per person
Step inside one of Monmouth’s most fascinating historic buildings for a night of paranormal investigation at The Savoy Theatre.
The site has a long and layered history dating back to the 1700s, when the location was occupied by The Bell Inn, a venue known for hosting early theatrical performances.
The building we see today was constructed in 1832, originally known as The Assembly Rooms.
Over the centuries the building has served many purposes for the town. It has been known as the Corn Exchange, Flannel Exchange, Oddfellows Hall, The Living Picture Palace, and The Magic Lantern Theatre. Each era brought new visitors, performers, and audiences through its doors.
With so many lives passing through this historic venue, it is perhaps unsurprising that reports of unexplained activity have continued for years.
Previous investigations have reported encounters with mischievous children, actors, former ushers, and even the presence of a notorious historical figure linked to darker events in the area.
We have investigated the Savoy in the past, and guests have experienced some remarkable activity — particularly within the old dressing rooms, which many believe to be the most active areas of the theatre. Join us as we return to investigate this atmospheric location and explore what may still remain behind the curtain.
